Supporting the Poppleton Tithe Barn
Poppleton Tithe Barn has Charitable Status (Charity Number 1060767) and is run by a group of Trustees supported by the Tithe Barn Friends.
The Charitable aims of Poppleton Tithe Barn are to preserve the building and make it available to local people for specific events, including charity events. In keeping with these aims we let out the Barn primarily for village events such as art exhibitions, meetings, conferences, talks, plays, celebratory lunches, dinners, wedding breakfasts and as a voting centre. We also organise some fund raising events ourselves, (eg a Christmas fair, Burns night, wine tastings, yard sales) and this is where the Friends of Poppleton Tithe barn provide invaluable support.
Become a Friend
The Friends of Poppleton Tithe Barn are vital in supporting fund raising and other activities at the Tithe Barn.
Friends receive an Annual Newsletter and are invited to the AGM and a social gathering each year. Becoming a Friend is a good opportunity to meet other people and contribute to preserving this historic building and garden. New Friends are most welcome, so if you would like to become a Friend of Poppleton Tithe Barn, please download the application form here.
Events
The Friends organise fund raising events during the year.
In recent years these have consisted of a Christmas Fair, a Burns Night, Wine Tasting and Yard Sales.
